Role overview
Manage accounting and financial operations for hotel bookings, tours, transfers, excursions, airline bookings, and other tourism services.
Accounting operations
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle supplier payments, customer collections, and outstanding balances.
- Reconcile supplier and customer invoices, vouchers, and booking records.
- Track tour costs, sales revenue, profit margins, and operational expenses.
Reporting and compliance
- Monitor cash flow, prepare budgets, and manage financial forecasts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Manage VAT calculations and returns and comply with applicable UAE tax regulations.
- Assist with annual audits, financial reviews, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable financial regulations.
Coordination and collections
- Coordinate with sales, reservations, operations, and management to maintain accurate financial records.
- Follow up on overdue payments and maintain relationships with suppliers and corporate clients.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience; tourism industry experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Experience handling hotel suppliers, tour operators, DMCs, travel agents, and corporate customer accounts.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic corporate tax requirements.
Systems and skills
- Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar accounting systems.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple financial tasks.
Preferred skills
- Travel booking systems or tourism management software experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of tourism pricing, supplier contracts, commissions, and tour package profitability is preferred.
- Foreign currency transactions and international supplier payments experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and financial accuracy are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay starts at AED 10,000 per month.
