Accounts Assistan/ Cashier

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate and reconcile cash balances on a daily basis.
• Ensure all petty cash vouchers are properly authorized, signed, and filed.
• Verify that the on-hand cash and receipts match the authorized imprest amount.
• Maintain on-hand cash in a locked, fireproof container at all times.
• Secure cash in a locked safe box at the end of each business day.
• Keep cheque books and issuance processes secure, following established protocols.
• Prepare weekly petty cash reports for processing in the accounting system.
• Assist with daily COD (Cash on Delivery) collections from delivery couriers.
• Manage and verify COD transactions in the system on a daily basis.
• Complete daily cash and POS (Point of Sale) collection reconciliations.
• Review daily COD reports and reconcile COD amounts with bank statements and Statements of Account (SOA).
• Ensure legitimacy, accuracy, and compliance in all COD-related financial transactions.
• Collaborate with the central finance team to enhance COD and collection reconciliation procedures.
• Perform other job-related projects or assignments as requested by the direct supervisor or manager, addressing special circumstances not outlined in this job description.
• Maintain adherence to Starlinks financial policies, procedures, and internal controls at all times.

High School/ Diploma in Finance, Accounting, BA or a related field
