Accounting responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting department operations.
  • Prepare and review ledger data, maintain the general ledger, and prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Provide data and recommendations to the controlling team and CFO.
  • Ensure accounting processes follow IFRS and local financial legislation.
  • Complete major project, month-end, and year-end reports accurately and on time; coordinate annual audits.
  • Improve processes, initiate corrective actions, and standardize processes among local brands.
  • Report profit and loss and balance sheet results to headquarters.

Tax and compliance responsibilities

  • Manage preparation and timely filing of tax returns, income tax, and withholding tax forms.
  • Develop a tax filing calendar, maintain controls over the tax process, and monitor tax law changes.
  • Support the planned income tax implementation, internal audits, and special tax projects.
  • Assist the controlling team with compliance requirements and maintain controls aligned with Group standards and policies.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4–5 years in an Accounting Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, local financial regulations, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Experience leading month-end and year-end closing, coordinating audits, and improving processes.
  • Ability to manage, coach, and develop an accounting team.
  • CMA, SOCPA, or another relevant professional certification is an advantage.
