Role overview
Full-time Accounting Manager position in Dubai, UAE.
Manage accounting and financial operations, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and day-to-day accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting cycle, including GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other applicable financial regulations.
- Prepare, review, and submit UAE VAT and Corporate Tax returns directly to the FTA, ensuring accurate, timely filings and payments.
- Maintain tax records, supporting documents, and reconciliations in line with FTA requirements.
- Manage payables, receivables, supplier payments, and customer collections.
- Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external auditors, banks, tax consultants, and other relevant parties.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports for management decision-making.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of the company ERP/accounting system.
- Supervise and support the accounting and finance team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant accounting experience, including supervisory or managerial experience.
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices, VAT, Corporate Tax, and financial regulations.
- Practical experience preparing and submitting VAT and Corporate Tax returns to the UAE FTA.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management, and internal controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is mandatory; applicants without practical experience will not be considered.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- ACCA, CMA, CPA, or similar professional qualifications are an advantage.
- Able to manage the finance and accounting function independently and provide reliable information to senior management.
