About the Company

Al Sweer Trading FZE is a leading distributor in the HVAC/R industry with over 25 years of experience.

Based in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, we supply refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, spare parts, and solutions to customers across the UAE, GCC and international markets.

We operate in a fast-moving trading environment with high-volume sales, purchases, inventory movement, import/export transactions, customer credit, supplier payments, and multi-entity coordination.

We are looking for a strong and experienced accounting professional who can take full ownership of the accounting function and support management with accurate reporting, strong controls, and reliable financial information.

Role Summary

We are hiring an

Accounts Manager

to manage the full accounting cycle of Al Sweer Trading FZE.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in accounting,

Odoo ERP

, inventory accounting, reconciliations, UAE VAT, financial reporting, and internal controls.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, follow up firmly with different departments, identify mistakes, improve processes, and ensure the accounts are accurate and properly controlled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger, trial balance, balance sheet, and profit & loss reports.
  • Prepare management reports, cash flow reports, customer aging, supplier aging, and profitability analysis.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, supplier reconciliations, and customer reconciliations.
  • Monitor customer credit, overdue balances, collections, and payment follow-ups.
  • Work directly on

Odoo ERP

  • for accounting, sales, purchases, inventory, and reporting.
  • Review Odoo entries and ensure correct posting between accounting, inventory, sales, and purchase modules.
  • Monitor stock valuation, landed cost, cost of goods sold, inventory movements, and stock adjustments.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, sales, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure accurate inventory and accounting records.
  • Support physical stock counts and reconcile system stock with actual stock.
  • Prepare and review UAE VAT returns and maintain proper VAT documentation.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment for imports, exports, local sales, and zero-rated transactions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and relevant authorities when required.
  • Improve internal controls, approval workflows, documentation, and accounting discipline.
  • Identify wrong entries, missing documents, weak processes, duplicate transactions, and accounting risks.
  • Support management with financial analysis and accurate data for decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6
  • –10 years of accounting experience
  • , preferably in trading, distribution, wholesale, spare parts, industrial supplies, or similar high-volume businesses.

  • Odoo ERP is highly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Experience in inventory accounting, landed cost, stock valuation, and cost of goods sold.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and management reports independently.
  • Experience dealing with external auditors and VAT/tax consultants.
  • CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is an advantage.

  • Good communication skills with management, sales, warehouse, suppliers, customers, and auditors.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in HVAC/R, refrigeration, air conditioning, spare parts, or technical product distribution.
  • Experience in companies with large inventory and high SKU count.
  • Experience with import/export documentation and JAFZA/free zone operations.
  • Experience managing junior accountants or supporting an accounting team.
  • Experience improving ERP processes, accounting controls, and reporting systems.

What We Are Looking For

We are not looking for a basic data-entry accountant.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the accounts, control the system, clean up reconciliations, improve reporting, and support management with accurate financial information.

The right candidate should be able to identify issues, follow up strongly, and make sure the company’s financial records are accurate, complete, and properly controlled.
