Role Description

The Accounting Manager role at Shorages is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including managing general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

The Accounting Manager will supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, maintain fixed asset registers, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.

The role involves monitoring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, coordinating with external auditors, and providing analytical insights to support business decisions.

The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams to ensure that financial data supports operational efficiency and strategic growth.

Qualifications

· Min 5 years p

roven experience as an accountant in UAE.

·

Strong understanding of bookkeeping regulations in UAE and KSA

·

Ability to handle financial statements, tax returns, and budget preparation

·

Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS Office applications, with a preference for experience in Microsoft Power Query

·

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·

Good communication and interpersonal skills

·

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

·

Familiarity with Zoho Books is preferred

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·

Coordinate and crosscheck with suppliers on invoices and cash on delivery transactions

·

Generating financial reports, VAT fillings, ESR fillings and any other company filling as per UAE and KSA requirements

·

Initiating and classifying bank transactions

·

Generating cash on delivery reports

·

Responding to internal and external finance-related queries

·

Corresponding with suppliers and clients on inquiries

·

Ongoing support on finance-related tasks

·

Managing Employee Payroll

·

Issuing customer invoices
