Role overview
Nanalysis is seeking an Accounting Manager with an active CPA designation.
The role supports month-end close, IFRS financial reporting, and oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll in a publicly traded company environment.
Key accountabilities
- Manage month-end close, including preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations.
- Support corporate reporting through report preparation, account analysis, and IFRS variance analysis.
- Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and help resolve reconciling items.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Review sales tax return filings and related reconciliations.
- Prepare supporting documentation and respond to audit queries as directed.
- Support finance systems, data validation, and data cleansing activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management.
- Identify discrepancies, process issues, and improvement opportunities, escalating as appropriate.
Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline and an active CPA designation.
- Experience supporting month-end close and financial statement close.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization, including ability to manage recurring deadlines and priorities.
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, PivotTables, and large datasets.
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting or ERP software.
- Experience coaching and mentoring staff and supporting external audits.
Nice to have
- Accounting system implementation or conversion experience.
- Data analytics and reporting tools experience.
- Exposure to Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, and M Code.
- Process documentation, data cleansing, or finance process improvement experience.
Compensation
- Pay is $110,000–$120,000 per year.
