Role overview
The Accounting Manager oversees accounting operations, strengthens internal controls, and ensures reliable financial reporting.
The role is part-time and fully remote, with the stated location of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable operations.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes; review financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
- Maintain accounting procedures and internal controls; coordinate budgeting support, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
- Supervise accounting activities and support finance team development.
- Coordinate audits and supporting documentation; monitor accounting standards, tax, and company-policy compliance.
- Improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience; supervisory or management experience is ideal.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and deadline-management skills; professional judgment with confidential financial information.
Preferred qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications are an advantage.
