Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead and manage our accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.
Based in Abu Dhabi, the Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting activities while actively participating in key financial processes, including financial closing, reporting, and compliance.
The role requires a balance between operational involvement and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, and payroll
- Post and review journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Coordinate with auditors and ensure audit readiness
- Monitor cash-flow and control expenses against budget
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Implement and monitor internal controls
- Identify financial risks and discrepancies
- Supervise and guide the accounting team
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure accurate financial data
- Oversee accounting systems and support ERP implementation
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
· CPA or CMA qualification is a plus
· Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in contracting or construction
· Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax regulations
· Experience with ERP systems
· Proven experience in team management
