This part-time Accounting Manager role is a hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
include managing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring fixed assets, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
The role will also involve preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and organizational policies.
The Accounting Manager will collaborate with program, operations, and leadership teams to provide financial insights that support decision-making and effective resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with financial statements, journal entries, and fixed assets management.
- Solid background in finance, with proven analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; ability to manage digital financial records and reporting tools.
- Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls, compliance procedures, and best practices in accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in a similar accounting or finance leadership role; experience in education, non-profit, or consultancy environments is a plus.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, hybrid work setting.
