Accounting and reporting
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and profit-and-loss, balance-sheet, and cash-flow reports.
- Monitor performance and advise senior management; maintain records in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
Budgeting and compliance
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans; monitor actual performance against budgets and investigate variances.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity; identify cost savings and recommend profitability improvements.
- Ensure Qatar tax and regulatory compliance; coordinate applicable filings and maintain supporting documentation.
Audit, controls, and team
- Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
- Maintain internal controls, investigate financial risks and discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Supervise payments, collections, invoicing, credit control, banking, and payment approvals.
- Supervise and develop the finance team, allocate responsibilities, review work, set closing procedures, and guide staff.
Systems and performance indicators
- Oversee accounting software and ERP systems, improve workflows and reporting accuracy, and support financial analysis and business decisions.
- Key indicators include timely financial closing, accurate reports, budget control, effective collections and payments, successful audits and filings, and improved cash flow and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience with IFRS, financial statements, budgeting, internal controls, and Qatar regulatory requirements.
- ERP or accounting software experience, such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally; advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.
- ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred; Qatar or GCC experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, accuracy, integrity, communication, organization, and commercial skills.
