Accounting Executive

Key Responsibilities

• **Bookkeeping & Ledger Management:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• **Invoicing & Payments:** Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and expense claims in a timely and accurate manner.
• **VAT Compliance:** Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations; prepare and file VAT returns with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) on schedule.
• **Financial Reporting:** Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• **Cash Flow & Receivables:** Monitor cash flow, track outstanding receivables, and follow up on overdue client payments.
• **Budgeting & Forecasting:** Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and track actual performance against targets.
• **Audit Support:** Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure all supporting documentation is in order.
• **Payroll Processing:** Process payroll and staff expense reimbursements in coordination with HR.
• **Documentation & Filing:** Maintain organised filing of all financial documents, contracts, and correspondence for audit readiness.
• **Stakeholder Coordination:** Liaise with banks, vendors, and clients on financial matters as required.

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably within a UAE-based company or agency
• Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT law and FTA filing procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, or Tally
• Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with Google Sheets is a plus
• Solid understanding of IFRS / GAAP accounting principles
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA, CPA, ACCA or CMA qualification is a strong advantage
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• UAE driving licence is preferred
