Basic Function

Responsible, under the general direction of a line accounting Division Head, Unit Head, or Accounting Staff Specialist, for preparing financial analyses, forecasts, or reports.

Develops supportive and interpretative data for use in the Department or leads the work of clerical and technical accounting staff.

May lead shipping technical 24/7 shift staff in reviewing ship/shore analyses, ship release, shipping documentation, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Scope

Provides financial and accounting analytical and technical support to a staff or line division to resolve accounting or financial issues.

Participates in the development, recommendation, and implementation of changes to accounting policies and internal procedures and their implementation into systems.

Prepares financial forecasts, reports, and other analyses.

Function Description

  • Analyzes and provides recommendations on the feasibility of accounting information system proposals to process transactions and related reports.
  • Determines if a proposal meets user information requirements and conforms to accounting policy.
  • Develops and supports the internal control framework and ensures all material risks have adequate controls in place.
  • Assists in researching applicable accounting literature to establish new accounting policies, update existing policies, or address current issues involving accounting and financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Develops and revises instructions for the Accounting and General Instruction Manuals and interprets their application for operations organizations.
  • Assists in financial modeling, investment and divestiture analysis, asset valuations, financial due diligence, and entity setup activities.
  • Prepares financial reports and forecasts on cash receipts and disbursements, corporate income, operating and capital plans and expenditures, manpower budgets, investments, and the consolidated financial position.
  • Prepares tax and transfer pricing calculations and reviews affiliate cash calls and supports proponents during the setup and design of funding procedures.
  • Analyzes the financial feasibility and impact of proposed financial transactions such as hydrocarbon production, sales and purchases, and employee and vendor disbursements in accordance with company policy and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Well-developed knowledge of accounting policies and procedures established pursuant to International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Well-developed understanding of the financial statements content prepared within the IFRS framework.
  • Well-developed knowledge of Saudi Aramco Accounting and General Instructions.

Education Requirement

  • Educational level: Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, and Business Management.
  • Minimum years of experience: 5.
