Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dubai.
The Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling bank and account balances.
Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, tracking expenses, and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
The role also involves preparing periodic financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.
The Accountant will work closely with management and other departments to provide accurate financial data, assist with audits, and recommend improvements to financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and variance analysis.
- Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., ERP systems, Excel) and comfort working with digital tools and financial databases.
- Solid understanding of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to businesses operating in Dubai and the UAE.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with non-finance colleagues and explain financial information clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- Prior experience in real estate or property management accounting is a plus, as well as familiarity with commission structures, and sales income accounting.
- Minimum 2 years of experience
