Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant - UAEN role based in Dubai.
The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial accounting activities, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate general ledger records in compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Responsibilities
include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and assisting with variance analysis.
The role also involves processing payables and receivables, monitoring cash flows, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
The Accountant will support internal and external audits, help implement process improvements, and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
Collaboration with colleagues, clear communication with stakeholders, and adherence to governmental financial standards are essential to success in this position.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in general accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintenance of the general ledger.
- Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations applicable in the UAE, and experience supporting internal and external audits.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Oracl systems, as well as solid Excel and other MS Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in government, public sector, or regulated environments is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai and manage deadlines in a structured, process-driven setting.
