Accountant (Travel & Real Estate Company)

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor company cash flow.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and management reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare, review, and submit **VAT returns** in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Handle **Corporate Tax** computations, documentation, and filing requirements in accordance with UAE laws.
• Ensure compliance with **e-invoicing** requirements and maintain proper electronic invoicing records as applicable under UAE regulations.
• Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely submission of all statutory filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
• Assist with annual audits and preparation of audit schedules.
• Process payroll and ensure accurate employee expense reimbursements.
• Monitor company budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions where applicable.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support management by providing financial analysis and reports for business decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum **3 years of UAE accounting experience**.
• Experience in the **travel, tourism, hospitality, or real estate industry** is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Accounting Softwares (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of:
• UAE VAT regulations

• UAE Corporate Tax

• Financial reporting
• Bank reconciliation

• Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Payroll processing
• Audit preparation
• E-invoicing requirements
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality.

Experience

• Accounting: 3 years (Required)
• VAT and Corporate Tax filings: 3 years (Required)
