Full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Sharjah.
The Accountant manages daily financial operations and supports the firm's financial recordkeeping and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Record transactions, prepare journal entries, and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Prepare financial statements and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with budgeting and cash flow management.
- Support audits and compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
- Prepare tax-related documentation and regular management reports.
- Work with legal and administrative teams on client accounts and trust or escrow funds as applicable.
- Maintain clear, organized financial records.
Qualifications
- Strong financial accounting, general ledger, and financial statement preparation skills.
- Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
- Experience with accounting software and Excel, including data entry, reporting, and basic analysis.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or ACCA certification is a plus; prior experience in a law firm, professional services, or property-related business is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Sharjah and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
