Accountant
About This Role
The role is responsible for performing core accounting activities within a dynamic finance environment while ensuring adherence to internal standards, policies, and procedures. It includes managing accounts receivable and following up on outstanding invoices, collaborating closely with accounts payable and payroll teams, and contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The position also ensures full compliance with local and national financial regulations while supporting efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify financial records and reports for accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist tax consultants/professionals in preparing quarterly tax estimates and annual tax returns.
- Maintain and update financial documentation and accounting systems.
- Support the development and implementation of best practices in accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities, process improvements, and efficiency enhancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Word is optional but fine to keep).
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new accounting systems and software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
