Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant with at least 2 years of professional experience in the UAE.
The ideal candidate must have prior experience working within a marine or shipping company and possess strong knowledge of accounting practices relevant to the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Handle accounts payable and receivable efficiently
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and VAT requirements
- Assist with audits and financial reviews
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Monitor budgeting and forecasting activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Mandatory experience in a marine, shipping, or offshore company
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage
- Experience handling multi-currency transactions and international clients
