About This Role
Job Purpose
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and supporting timely financial reporting and daily accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and post journal entries accurately and ensure proper account reconciliation
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking
- Review and reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely vendor payments
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate variances where required
- Issue sales invoices on a daily basis and coordinate with the logistics team for supporting documentation
- Liaise with customers to resolve billing issues related to invoices and delivery notes
- Prepare customer account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within the accounting system
- Support the finance team with reporting and ad-hoc accounting tasks
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant in a similar role
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
