Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with a strong background in FMCG distribution.
The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting functions, monitor receivables and payables, and ensure accurate financial reporting while supporting operational and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations including journal entries, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Monitor customer collections and coordinate with the sales team on outstanding balances
- Reconcile supplier statements and manage payment schedules
- Oversee inventory accounting and stock reconciliation in coordination with warehouse operations
- Process LPOs, GRNs, credit notes, and debit notes
- Prepare monthly financial reports, P&L statements, and cash flow reports
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure VAT compliance and proper documentation as per Qatar regulations
- Coordinate with auditors for annual audits
- Maintain accurate records in ERP/accounting systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience in FMCG distribution or trading companies
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and high-volume transactions
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo
- Knowledge of Qatar VAT regulations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
