About This Role

Overview

Seeking a qualified Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial operations, reporting and compliance for a company based in Dubai. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate accounting records, support month‑end close, and assist with budgeting and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Record and post daily transactions: sales, purchases, receipts and payments; maintain general ledger.

Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements and intercompany balances; resolve discrepancies.

Prepare month‑end and year‑end closing tasks: accruals, prepayments, journal entries and reconciliation of ledgers.

Generate timely financial reports (monthly management accounts, balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow summaries) for management review.

Process payroll or coordinate with payroll provider; ensure accuracy of salaries, deductions and statutory contributions.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable: invoice processing, credit control, collections and supplier payments.

Maintain VAT records, prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations (collection of supporting documents and timely filings).

Assist with audit preparation, liaise with external auditors and provide required schedules and documentation.

Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis; provide financial insights to help drive business decisions.

Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.

Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation; manage petty cash and expense claims.

Use accounting software and ERP systems to ensure accurate record‑keeping and reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent certification preferred.

2–5+ years’ accounting experience; UAE/GCC experience desirable.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS basics and UAE VAT rules.

Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Tally or ERP syst

Pay: AED9,500.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
