Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and reconciling bank and cash accounts.
Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring accounts receivable and payable, handling expense tracking, and ensuring accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions.
The role involves assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, preparing financial statements and management reports, and supporting budgeting, cost analysis, and inventory valuation related to gold and jewelry production.
The Accountant will also help ensure compliance with local regulations, internal controls, and company policies, coordinate with auditors and banks as needed, and collaborate with operations and procurement teams to support data-driven financial decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts receivable/payable handling.
- Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the gold manufacturing, jewelry manufacturing, or precious metals industry
- Experience in manufacturing cost accounting, inventory control, and production-related accounting
- Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and product costing; experience in manufacturing or jewelry/precious metals industries is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Experience with WinGold is a strong advantage)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience handling gold stock reconciliation, metal accounting, and manufacturing reports will be an added advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
