Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of our growing company.
This role requires a hands-on individual who can oversee day-to-day accounting, manage client-related transactions, and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
The ideal candidate is organized, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and receivable
- Maintain accurate financial records for company and client-related transactions
- Handle invoicing, collections, and tracking of service fees and disbursements
- Monitor and reconcile client accounts (including client funds, where applicable)
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare tax filings
- Track project-related expenses and allocate costs appropriately
- Manage payroll and staff expense reimbursements
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and financial planning
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
- Implement and improve internal financial controls and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (professional services or SME experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT laws
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero)
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
- Experience handling client accounts or segregated funds
