Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant with at least 6 months of experience in the UAE to join our client.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local accounting practices, VAT regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts
- Prepare and process journal entries and ensure accurate bookkeeping
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and assist in VAT filing
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
- Prepare financial reports and assist management with budgeting and forecasting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 6 months of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory)
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with UAE labor laws and financial regulations
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
