We are hiring an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper / Accountant - ideally with strong proficiency in Odoo software.
In this role, you will manage administration and operational accounting for our jewellery brand from purchasing of materials via production to shipment.
This value-chain includes overseeing inventory adjustments, handle multi-currency transactions, including cryptocurrency payments.
Operational & Financial Accounting
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting within the Odoo system.
- Perform daily logging, reconciliation, and quality control of sales data.
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Execute bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Manage company expenses, accounts receivable, and accounts payable (AR/AP).
- Maintain multi-currency ledgers (USD, EUR, AED, and cryptocurrencies).
- Track, record, and reconcile crypto payments processed through the company's website and direct channels.
Inventory Management
+ Maintain comprehensive inventory records: track procurement, supplier deliveries, internal stock transfers, and returns.
+ Perform specialized accounting and tracking for high-value stock (gold, precious metals, and gemstones) including mapping of purchasing prices.
+ review stock levels, ensure system accuracy matches physical counts, and participate in periodic stocktakes.
Tax, Reporting & Auditing
+ Handle VAT accounting and ensure tax compliance for operations in the UAE and Cyprus.
+ Prepare weekly sales reports and monthly management reports.
+ Conduct profitability and margin analysis across products and categories.
+ Prepare supporting documentation and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants (including year-end audit support).
Odoo Administration & Operational Support
Optimize accounting workflows, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and automate processes within Odoo.
Provide support and training to retail staff regarding Odoo usage and cash register discipline.
Deliver prompt operational support to management, teammates, and external partners via messenger, email, and calls.
Experience
Must have experience in jewellery accounting and handling jewellery inventory.
Proven track record as an Accountant or Bookkeeper.
Experience in retail, e-commerce, or the luxury/jewellery sector with physical inventory is required.
Hard Skills
Experience with Odoo or similar software (specifically Finance and Inventory modules).
Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.
Solid understanding of international tax principles and VAT regulations (experience with UAE/Cyprus tax laws is a major asset).
Experience handling cryptocurrency transactions and digital wallets is a plus.
Robust knowledge of inventory accounting and logistics.
Soft Skills
Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, ability to work autonomously, and high responsiveness during working hours.
