Job Summary
SANDS is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable **Accountant** to manage daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support accurate financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting business decision-making.
FRENCH LANGUAGE REQUIRED.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and UAE regulations
- Support VAT filing and compliance (UAE VAT returns, records, audits)
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders
- Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data
& Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum **2–4 years of accounting experience**, preferably in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with VAT regulations in the UAE
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or trading environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Ability to handle multi-company or multi-branch accounting
