Role Summary

Accounts Receivable Operations

• Raise customer invoices accurately and on time across all sales channels (food service, retail, e-commerce, distributor).
• Apply customer receipts daily against invoices in the ERP; investigate and resolve unapplied or short-paid amounts.
• Maintain customer master data — credit limits, payment terms, tax IDs, billing contacts — and keep it audit-ready.
• Issue credit notes, debit notes, and rebill adjustments with proper approvals and documentation trail.
• Manage the cheque collection cycle, post-dated cheque (PDC) register, and bank deposits.

Collections & Cash Flow

• Run the weekly collections cycle: aged debt review, dunning calls and emails, payment commitments, and escalations.
• Own DSO and AR aging KPIs; produce a weekly collections report for Finance Manager and Sales leadership.
• Partner with the Sales team to resolve customer disputes (pricing, delivery, returns) blocking payment.
• Recommend and document credit-hold actions for chronic non-payers; maintain a watchlist of at-risk accounts.
• Forecast weekly AR collections to feed the rolling 13-week cash flow.

Reconciliations & Reporting

• Reconcile customer statements monthly; obtain signed balance confirmations from key accounts at year-end.
• Reconcile AR sub-ledger to GL control account; investigate and clear any variances within the close calendar.
• Reconcile e-commerce and POS settlement reports (gateway / aggregator payouts) against bank deposits.
• Prepare AR aging, DSO trend, write-off, and provision-for-doubtful-debts schedules for month-end close.
• Support the FY audit with AR confirmations, sample testing, and aging walk-throughs.

VAT & Compliance

• Ensure all customer invoices comply with UAE VAT requirements (FTA-compliant tax invoices, correct VAT treatment for zero-rated, exempt and out-of-scope sales).
• Reconcile output VAT in the AR ledger to VAT return filings; flag and correct any discrepancies.
• Maintain documentation for export and zero-rated sales per FTA evidentiary requirements.

Process & General Accounting Support

• Identify weak spots in the order-to-cash process and propose practical improvements.
• Support month-end close with journal entries, accruals, and prepaids on adjacent areas as needed.
• Back up the AP and General Ledger team during peak periods or PTO coverage.
• Other reasonable duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
