Accountant

Position overview

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare and coordinate VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and other applicable UAE tax reporting.
• Monitor project costs against budgets, process contractor and supplier invoices, and track payments.
• Manage banking transactions, perform account reconciliations, and assist with project escrow account administration.
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning.
• Maintain financial documentation and assist with external audits and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and at least five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, First BIT, or similar.
• Real estate development or construction experience is advantageous; project cost tracking and escrow experience are also advantageous.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Russian language skills are advantageous.
