Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with Qatar’s financial regulations and company policies.
The ideal candidate should have previous accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilitiesfinancial Record Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
- Maintain the general ledger and supporting financial documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and organization of accounting records.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process supplier invoices and prepare payments in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining healthy cash flow through effective receivable management.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports.
- Assist in preparing financial data for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies in Qatar.
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting requirements.
Inventory & Cost Control Support
- Coordinate with operations teams to monitor inventory costs and stock records.
- Track company expenses and support cost-control initiatives.
- Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Payroll & Administrative Support
- Support payroll processing and maintain employee financial records.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Assist with other finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirementseducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of accounting experience.
- Experience working in Qatar is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Zoho Books, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Valid legal authorization to work in Qatar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Experience handling full-cycle accounting processes.
- Knowledge of VAT and local financial compliance requirements is preferred.
