Job Summary
As an Accountant / Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company’s credit and collections process.
Your role will be vital in ensuring timely payments, minimizing bad debt, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts
- Evaluate new credit requests and conduct client credit checks
- Set up terms and conditions of credit
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity and communications
- Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently
- Liaise with internal departments and external clients to reconcile accounts
- Prepare regular reports on debtor status and escalate issues as needed
- Assist in month-end closing and audit processes
- Make sure to be flexible with working hours as per the line manager instructions/requirements
- Performing other tasks within the company requested by the management
- ✅ Requirements
- **Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred**
- **With background in aviation is an advantage**
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and credit control procedures
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Zoho, Focus)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
