Accountant – Corporate Services & Client Bookkeeping

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain complete accounting records and general ledger for the Company and client portfolios.
• Provide bookkeeping and accounting services to multiple corporate clients.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare invoices, tax invoices, debit notes, credit notes, payment vouchers, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and file VAT returns and assist with UAE Corporate Tax compliance.
• Manage the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) Portal, including VAT registration and deregistration, Corporate Tax registration and deregistration, VAT returns, tax refunds, Tax Clearance Certificates, Tax Residency Certificates.
• Process payroll through WPS, including gratuity, leave salary, overtime, commissions, and final settlements.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare management reports, and assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support clients during audit engagements.
• Liaise with banks, DMCC, FTA, and other UAE government authorities when required.
• Assist clients with company formation, license renewals, amendments, and other corporate service requirements.
• Ensure all accounting records comply with UAE laws, regulations, and reporting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE accounting experience.
• Previous experience in a Business Consultancy, Corporate Services Provider (CSP), Accounting Firm, or Business Center is highly preferred.
• Experience in handling multiple client accounts and providing outsourced bookkeeping services.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Accounting Standards and financial reporting, Bookkeeping, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, Payroll & WPS, Cash Flow Management, UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax
• Good understanding of UAE Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CFT) regulations, including KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) requirements, sanctions screening, and record-keeping obligations.
• Sound knowledge of Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations, including VAT, Corporate Tax, TRN requirements, and the UAE E-Invoicing framework.
• Attendance at AML, VAT, Corporate Tax, TRN, or UAE E-Invoicing seminars/workshops will be considered an advantage.
• Experience using the FTA Portal and DMCC Portal is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE government and Free Zone portals such as DMCC, IFZA, Meydan, JAFZA, MOHRE, Amer, Tasheel, Concordia, DLD, DCD, and DEWA is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Fitbit ERP Accounting System is preferred. Experience using other ERP or accounting software with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems will also be considered.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple client portfolios, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
