Accountant (Contracting/Construction Company)

Requirements

• Minimum **3 years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory)**
• Experience in a **construction or contracting company**
• Knowledge of **cost control, project accounting, and job costing**
• Experience in **Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)**
• Ability to prepare **financial statements, reports, and reconciliations**
• Good knowledge of **UAE VAT laws, filing, and compliance**
• Proficient in **Zoho and MS Excel**
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations
• Manage AR/AP, invoicing, collections, and payments
• Follow up on purchases, supplier invoices, and payment status
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit requirements
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Coordinate with management on financial planning and financial control

Preferred

• Experience in construction contracts, variations, and retention
• Available immediately
• Strong communication skills
