Accountant (5+ Years Experience – UAE)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with at least 5 years of professional experience in the UAE to manage financial records, ensure compliance with local regulations, and support the company’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist with VAT filing
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
- Monitor cash flow and financial transactions
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with IFRS standards
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
