Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to join our team at our Riyadh location.
The Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, analyzing financial data, and supporting various financial processes.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights for management decision-making.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities.
- Assist in tax calculations and submissions, adhering to local tax laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data and insights as needed.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (X+ years) as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to reconcile discrepancies.
