Role overview

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records and the general ledger; reconcile sales, cash, card payments, POS reports, and bank transactions.
• Manage AP and AR; verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and goods received notes.
• Monitor inventory, stock adjustments, wastage, COGS, and gross margins; prepare bank, supplier, customer, and inventory reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash and daily cash collections; prepare monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, and management reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control; handle UAE VAT records, reconciliations, and returns.
• Support Corporate Tax compliance and audits; coordinate with procurement, warehouse, store operations, and management.
• Maintain accounting documentation and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is stated; the education section marks Bachelor's as preferred.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience; supermarket, retail, FMCG, or hypermarket experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, COGS, and stock reconciliation; practical UAE VAT and FTA knowledge.
• Experience with POS and ERP/accounting systems; strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Good knowledge of AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and good English communication skills.
• UAE experience is preferred.

Preferred qualifications

• Supermarket operations experience, UAE Corporate Tax knowledge, and payroll/WPS experience are preferred.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.

Compensation

• Pay starts from AED 3,000 per month.
