Role Description
The Accountant at Marknova will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts.
This full-time, on-site role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, involves preparing financial statements, reconciling bank and supplier accounts, and monitoring accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
The Accountant will assist with budget preparation, cash flow tracking, and variance analysis to support management decisions.
The role also includes preparing tax-related documentation, supporting audits, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide clear financial insights.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support planning and decision-making.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash flow management.
- Competence in using accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Excel and general MS Office skills.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an accountant or in a similar finance role, ideally within distribution, e-commerce, or related industries.
