Account Receivable (AR)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Issue and track invoices, monitor payment status, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile accounts, update financial records, and prepare accounts receivable reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers about payment terms and invoice questions, and follow up on overdue accounts professionally and compliantly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support month-end closing activities.
• Contribute to process improvements that enhance cash flow and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to review account data, identify discrepancies, and support accurate reporting.
• Finance-related skills, basic accounting knowledge, and familiarity with accounts receivable processes.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Debt collection skills, including managing overdue accounts and negotiating payment arrangements in line with policies and regulations.
• Invoicing skills, including generating, verifying, and managing invoices in ERP or accounting systems.
• Spreadsheet and accounting software proficiency, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• A Finance, Accounting, Business, or related diploma or degree and prior AR or collections experience are beneficial.
• Ability to manage time and uphold ethical standards and data confidentiality.
