The accountant role is a full-time, position based in Dubai.
The person in this role will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and management reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accurate cost allocation across manufacturing and operations.
The accountant will monitor compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax regulations, support internal and external audits, and help optimize financial processes for efficiency.
Collaboration with operations, sales, and procurement teams is expected to maintain accurate financial records and support informed business decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for trading environments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of cash balances.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and margin analysis.
- Familiarity with UAE tax regulations (e.g., VAT) and compliance requirements.
- Comfort working with accounting software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting.
- Prior experience in building material trading sectors is beneficial.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance
- 2–4 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.
