Accenture Construct - Senior Project Engineer, COM

Role overview

Project development and design

• Develop project concepts, scopes, work breakdowns, quality standards, budgets, and schedules; coordinate stakeholder sign-off.
• Coordinate design phases, work plans, design packages, consultant selection, reviews, milestones, and performance.
• Ensure design compliance with scope, quality, budget, schedule, codes, regulations, constructability, and maintainability.
• Prepare project administration documents, construction contract documents, specifications, drawings, and general requirements.

Tender, construction, and close-out

• Support tendering through bidder responses, site tours, addenda, technical bid evaluation, and contract award recommendations.
• Coordinate construction-phase engineering support, handovers, contract changes, claims, as-built reviews, and project close-out.
• Prepare handover documents, coordinate operational sign-off, document lessons learned, and participate in post-construction reviews.

Budgets and public consultation

• Prepare capital budget submissions, project summary sheets, justification reports, budgets, staff summaries, and board reports.
• Plan and support public consultation, prepare notices and presentations, attend public meetings, and respond to consultation feedback.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a transit operating environment.
• Relevant university degree in engineering or architecture, with extensive heavy construction and multidisciplinary project management experience.
• Professional Engineer registration in Ontario or Ontario Association of Architects licensure.
• Knowledge of project management, construction practices, contract administration, the Construction Act, applicable regulations, and accessibility requirements.
• An Ontario Class G driver's licence is an asset; a personal vehicle may be needed for some site visits.
