Academic Affairs Clerical 1 (Student Position)

The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is seeking a dependable and motivated Student Office Assistant to provide general clerical and administrative support.

This position, General Clerical Level I, is ideal for a student who is organized, professional, comfortable learning new technology, and committed to maintaining confidentiality while working in a busy office environment.

Work Schedule: Flexible scheduling is available based on office needs and the student's academic schedule.

• Current Ferris State University student * Dependable and responsible with a strong work ethic * Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion * Strong communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently and take initiative * Willingness to ask questions and learn new processes * Attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint * Experience with Adobe products and/or Microsoft Publisher * Previous office, receptionist, or customer service experience * Experience with filing, document management, or clerical work
