Academic Advisor

The mission of the Fayetteville State University School of Nursing is to educate culturally competent, ethical, and caring nurses for a global society. The School is committed to educating graduates who will provide evidence-based and patient-centered care to promote the optimal health of clients throughout their lives and in various settings.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide academic support to program participants and to, improve academic performance, and prepare students for post-secondary education. The Academic Advisor provides appropriate needs assessments and academic advisement; conducts academic support workshops and financial aid workshops; assists with educational college tours and field trips and conducts workshops for parents and recruits potential participants for the program in a fast-paced environment. This position is eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work. Fayetteville State University employees are required to reside in North Carolina within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
