Role overview

What you'll do

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle and equipment electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
• Estimate repair time and material costs, and complete work within Standard Labor Repair Times.
• Respond to emergency breakdown service calls and perform vehicle safety checks.
• Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times; review, complete, or assign repairs identified in Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow established safety procedures and applicable standards.

Requirements

• Registered 310T Apprentice Level 2 or higher and at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Pay and benefits

• Expected base pay is $37.30 to $41.17 per hour; the offered amount may depend on experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
• Benefits include a $1,250 annual tool allowance, a $200 boot allowance twice per year, uniforms and PPE, paid training, vacation, holidays, personal days, and healthcare coverage; benefits may vary by site.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, starting at 4 PM.

Work environment

• Work takes place inside a garage, shop, or gas plant and outdoors, including in inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
• The job involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing, with constant standing, walking, and grasping.
• Work may involve exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.
