Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to stand watch and patrol facility and be aware of the problems associated with traffic.
  • Safety shoes required.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Working knowledge of work zone traffic control standards and techniques, as well as methods to direct and control traffic.
  • Additional Considerations:
  • A combination of training, experience, or education in Bridge Maintenance, Tunnel Maintenance, or related field desired.
  • Experience working with, in or around heavy traffic.
  • Flagger
  • Knowledge of security work, first aid, police work, emergency work and meeting with public.
