About This Role

Role:

The Accountant supports the Finance team by performing essential accounting and administrative tasks. This role is critical to ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions, timely comparisons, and preparation of periodic reports, in accordance with Abyat's financial policies and Saudi regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in recording daily financial transactions in the accounting system.

• Assist in preparing general ledger and journal entries.

• Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts periodically.

• Assist in processing payment and collection transactions.

• Organize and maintain financial documents and records.

• Assist in the monthly closing process and preparation of financial reports.

• The candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience in accounting in general, and two (2) years specifically in managing expenses, payroll, employee custody, and account reconciliation.

• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and policies.

• Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary documentation.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Accounting or the Finance Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least three (3) years of experience using Onyx accounting software specifically, and other accounting software in general.

• Two to five years of documented practical experience in accounting.

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.

• High accuracy and a willingness to learn, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
