Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on engineer responsible for the design, development, and integration of air handling and fluid systems for a small turbojet and turbofan engines.
The role covers intake aerodynamics, exhaust nozzle design, and supporting systems including fuel, lubrication, and actuation hardware (solenoids, pumps, valves, and piping).
• Intake System Design
- Design and optimize engine air intake
- Perform CFD analysis
- Ensure compatibility with configurations
• Exhaust Nozzle Design
- Design nozzle geometry
- Optimize thrust and backpressure
• Fluid & Actuation Systems
- Select pumps, solenoids, valves
- Define fuel and lubrication systems
• Piping & Routing Design
- Design fuel, oil, pneumatic lines
- Perform pressure drop calculations
• Testing & Validation Support
- Support engine testing and troubleshooting
- Define instrumentation and test requirements
- Analyze test data and correlate with predictions
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- 5–8 years of relevant experience
Technical Skills
- Compressible flow, thermodynamics
- CFD tools (ANSYS, Fluent)
- CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA)
- Knowledge of fuel and lubrication systems
Preferred Experience
- Turbojet or gas turbine experience
- Test cell experience
